THE BLOCK 2022: WEEK 01

The Block is back with a new exciting season and Urban Road is ecstatic to be part of all the action!

On this week’s episode, the teams kick off the challenges with one of the toughest areas to work with, the bathroom!

With stakes higher than ever, the competition gets heated as the teams deliver amazing spaces within their assigned homes.

Impressing the judges are Tom and Sarah Jane with details that showed a high level of sophistication.

With brushed gold hardware and a bold VJ paneling on the bottom half of the wall that all worked perfectly together,

they created a stunner that landed them in second place.

Close to perfection, the judges had nothing but praises for the duo, especially with their bold use of colours.

"Now they've gone a different sort of bluey-green with bold statements and bold colour,

which I'm excited about because in this environment I want to see bold colour because there's a lot to work with,

there's a lot of natural light and it can take it." Shaynna said.

Art may not be a priority in a bathroom, but Tom and Sarah Jane were able to strategically utilize our print ‘ Modeling Clay IIII’ visually.

As a focal point of the room, it successfully bound all the accent colors together, marrying the blues, the blush, the golds and even the greys.
